Chris Fox is the Director for Manassas Presbyterian Church's Early Learning Center (MPC-ELC).  Chris has been working at the ELC since August 2002.

Chris received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University in 1990.  After moving to Virginia, Chris became a Contract Naturalist for Fairfax County, leading children's programs at Hidden Oaks Nature Center.  In 1994 Chris took a part time position at her daughter's school, Knox Preschool at Knox Presbyterian Church (Falls Church, VA) and has been working in Early Childhood Education ever since.  While at Knox, Chris became Director of the preschool in 1998 before leaving a year later to care for her newborn twins.

In 2002, Chris sought a preschool for her twins closer to her home in Manassas.  After touring MPC-ELC, Chris fell in love with the center. Shortly after, she was interviewed and hired as a lead teacher.  In 2006, she became the associate director.  Chris was appointed the director in 2009.

Chris has also spent several summers directing nature day camps.  With an educational background in ornithology and wildlife biology, her desire to share her love of the great outdoors with children has evolved into her current appointment to the Board of Directors for the Presbyterian Church's Meadowkirk Conference and Retreat Center in Middleburg, VA.

Chris is a member of Manassas Presbyterian Church.  She is an ordained Elder, and has served the church through teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and supporting Fellowship activities.  Chris enjoys the occasional opportunity to be with the young churchgoers during Time With Children.

Chris and her husband Andy started their life together in 1985 on a one-and-a-half year "honeymoon" to New Zealand on a Fulbright Scholarship.  After some more world travel during their college years, they finally settled down in northern Virginia.  Chris, Andy and their 3 children now call Manassas home.  When she can find a few free moments, Chris loves to read, hike, and scrapbook.
