Dr. Melissa Kirkpatrick is our Director of Education Ministries. In this position, she coordinates the Christian Education (CE) programs at MPC. She also serves as a resource to the middle and high school youth groups.

Melissa brings a wealth of education and experience to the MPC staff. She is a magna cum laude graduate the Wesley Theological Seminary where she earned a Master of Theological Studies degree. She also earned a Ph.D. in history from the American University in Washington, DC.

In 1997, Melissa was granted status as a Certified Christian Educator in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Melissa has served several churches in the National Capital Presbytery including Fairfax, Darnestown, Heritage, Falls Church, the Old Presbyterian Meeting House, and Georgetown. She is also an active leader in the Presbytery where she currently serves as the Clerk of Council.
