The Membership Ministry Team oversees involvement at MPC from the first visit of prospective members through the entire length of membership-encouraging participation in the worship, ministry, fellowship and education opportunities at MPC. Maintaining the official rolls of the church is this ministry team's responsibility. The ministry team makes recommendations to Session bringing forth names for Active Members, Inactive Members or those to be Removed from Rolls.
Active membership at MPC for adults is possible by attending Inquirer's Class that is offered twice a year during the Sunday school hour. Through the Inquirer's Class prospective members learn what it means to be an active member, they learn about the heritage and government of the Presbyterian denomination as they examine the call to be Christ's disciple at MPC. Youth, in grades nine through twelve, have the opportunity to join MPC by participating in Confirmation Class.
The Membership Ministry Team also sponsors fellowship opportunities encouraging our faith community to develop new friendships and reconnect with others. Coffee fellowship, picnics, potluck suppers, camping experiences, church softball team, and occassional outings to sporting events, concerts or museums have been sponsored by Membership Ministry Team.
The elder members of this ministry team are Madeline Snyder and Bill Tayler.
